ambulance by Quik Flight was established to fulfill a vital
service in the health care delivery system. With its unique
combination of modern equipment and highly skilled personnel,
Quik Flight represents a very important facet of the aero medical
transport industry.
This is a service that offers quick medical transport, twenty-four
hours a day, to patients with many types of illness, disability
or injury.
Quik Flight offers FIXED WING medical flights to patients
and their families. Individuals who become ill while away
from home, those who need the services of specialized health
care centers such as transplant facilities, rehab facilities,
long term care facilities and anyone who cannot be transported
by a regular commercial flights, are candidates for this
air ambulance service.
Quik Flight provides:
- Quik Flight will work with patients and their families
to fill all forms required to obtain insurance re-imbursements
when available.
- Communications include medical briefing from the
sending facility. A written in-flight medical record
is generated, a report to the receiving facility is
provided at the end of each aero medical transport.
A follow up survey form is sent to the patient/ family
for feedback.
- The company has its own Piper Cheyenne aircraft
and can broker a variety of jets if and when
needed.

Equipment on all medical flights

- cardiac monitors with defibrillation and pacing
capabilities
- ventilators

Medical Staff:
The medical team is headed by Dr. Krishnan Raghavan MD,
the medical director, who is a critical care physician with
a background that includes years of intensive care and emergency
medicine. Dr. Raghavan has had previous air ambulance experience.
He is available to discuss medical transport strategies with
the patient's sending physician to assure optimal conditions.
Other staff members include critical care nurses and respiratory
therapists. All staff are BLS and ACLS certified. Some have
neonatal resuscitation certification and PALS certification.
All have many years of critical care experience.
One
area of great interest to Quik Flight aircraft
charter is the ability to dispatch an aero medical transport
team, anywhere in the world, to bring back to the USA any
American who becomes ill or injured while overseas. This
team can also transport foreign nationals who become ill
or injured, while in the USA, to their home countries. Such
flights can be arranged on commercial airlines and/or private
jets. All necessary ground transportation and customs and
immigration arrangements will be managed by the experienced
flight coordinators. |
